Vivid Tapes is a place for empowerment through mutual understanding, respect and consent! We are committed to foster a saver, more inclusive and respectful environment for all attendees.
Our house rules prioritise safety and well-being for all. This code of conduct applies to everyone – staff, guests, partners, artists and ourselves. Every space is experienced differently by everyone. Please be considerate of how your behaviour influences people’s experiences.
Thus we expect everyone to uphold the principles outlined in this code of conduct:
- Respect for all individuals
Treat your fellow human beings, regardless of their background, identity, or affiliation, with respect and dignity. Refrain from any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying.
- Zero Tolerance for Violence
We condemn any form of physical or verbal violence and/or aggression, bullying, intimidation, (body)shaming, assault, discrimination, harassment and exclusion, such as (but not limited to) sexism, racism, queerphobia, ableism, antisemitism, islamophobia and/or transphobia.
- Consent and Boundaries
Always respect personal boundaries, which can be very different from human to human. Ask for clear and enthusiastic consent in any situation that involves physical contact or personal interactions. Just ask, it’s easy 🙂 If a situation does not allow asking for consent, then it is not consensual.
- Reporting Incidents
If you witness or experience any form of violence, harassment, or disrespectful behaviour, please don’t hesitate to report it to us, the crew, or to the staff immediately if you want to. Your safety and well-being are our priority. Based on your needs, we will help you to get out of the situation.
- Active Bystander Intervention
We encourage participants to intervene when witnessing problematic behaviour, if they feel safe doing so. Just ask the person in need, if they are feeling well or if they need help. You also can ask other participants to help you intervene. The safety of all attendees is a shared responsibility.
- Consequences
Violations of this code of conduct may result in warnings, rejection from the event, and future bans, depending on the severity of the offence. Serious offences will be reported to the relevant authorities, if that’s in line with the needs of the person affected.
- Accountability
The organisers of Vivid Tapes are committed to addressing reports promptly and confidentially. We will take appropriate measures to ensure a safer and more inclusive atmosphere.
- Support and Resources
We will provide resources and support for those who have been affected by any incidents, including information on how to access help.
